Long Sea Urchin Dangle Earrings

These are real sea urchin shells. Not cast, not molded, not a copy of one. I coat the actual shell in pure silver so the spine sockets and the fine ribbing that run the length of an urchin stay exactly where they were, and then hang it from a sterling silver ear hook.

They are long, about three and a quarter inches, and they move when you turn your head. What surprises people is the weight, or the lack of it. Each earring is five grams. A US quarter is six. You put them on and then forget you are wearing something that reaches your jaw.
